Stein Adler Welcomes Melanie A. Sarver As Counsel

Melanie A. Sarver joins Stein Adler’s employment and commercial litigation groups. An experienced and skilled litigator, Melanie represents businesses and individuals in matters involving discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour issues and other commercial disputes.

A trusted advisor to both employers and employees, Melanie represents companies and executives in the negotiation and drafting of employment and separation agreements, addressing issues such as executive compensation, restrictive covenants, and other terms of employment. She advises clients on federal, state and local employment laws, drafts employee handbooks and helps clients develop and implement a wide range of employment policies ensuring their interests are protected on every front.

With a balanced perspective from representing both employers and employees, Melanie is able see all sides of a dispute. Taking the time to understand her client’s business and their related concerns, she engages with the personal and corporate implications of each case, and is sensitive to the financial and reputational aspects at play.

Melanie began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office. Prior to joining Stein Adler, Melanie was an attorney at Greenberg Traurig, LLP and several prominent boutique labor and employment firms. Melanie earned her J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where she was Editor in Chief of the Moot Court Honor Society, a Merit Scholar, and recipient of the Jacob Burns Medal. She received her B.A in classical studies from University of Pennsylvania.
